Chemical Hazard Assessment
Whether you are reviewing management of existing chemicals, or you want to assess new substances before they are introduced to the site, Chemsafety can provide you with all you need to know.

MSDS Services
There have been many changes to the requirements for Safety Data Sheets in recent years. We can assist with preparation of HSNO compliant documentation, and SDS interpretation.

HSNO
The Hazardous Substances provisions of the HSNO Act are now in full effect. We provide Test Certification services, comprehensive advice on HSNO compliance, and various staff and management training packages.

Asbestos Audits and Risk Management
Asbestos materials remain present in many New Zealand homes and commercial premises. Chemsafety provides a full asbestos management service, starting from identification and documentation of asbestos materials on site, training of maintenance personnel, preparation of in-house procedures manuals, and advice on removal or remediation work where indicated

Noise Assessments
Workplace noise is arguably the most prevalent hazard in the workplace. However, it can be easily managed to ensure harm does not result. Noise surveys are required at least every five years, or after changes in industrial equipment or work patterns. Chemsafety can provide a comprehensive noise survey, discuss eliminated, isolated or minimised options, and advise on suitable hearing protection options.

Workplace Air Monitoring and Analysis
Hazardous dusts, fumes, vapours and gases can be generated from a number of processes in the workplace. Chemsafety can assist you by quantifying the initial hazard, identifying a suitable management system, and by following through to measure and document the effectiveness of control measures to reassure staff and demonstrate HSE compliance.

Office Air Quality Assessments
'Stuffy' air, drowiness, sinus or eye irritation, and temperature fluctuations are some of the symptoms of poor indoor air quality that can adversely affect the productivity or even health of your workforce. Chemsafety can monitor for airborne contaminants and for key indicators of air quality within your office or workplace, and provides advice on the right solution for you.

Air Emission Monitoring for Resource Consent
If your workplace produces dust or fume emissions that are discharged to the air, then a Resource Consent may be required. Chemsafety offers chemical advice and monitoring to assist with the application, and ongoing compliance.

Environmental Consultancy
Concerned about your local environment? Chemsafety can advise on, or monitor air, soil, water, and trade waste discharges. Results are compared against guideline standards and local by-laws. Acceptability and/or remediation options and requirements are discussed.

Industrial Consultancy & Analytical Services
Chemsafety staff have broad experience in industrial and general chemistry, and in chemical analysis techniques. We have our in-house laboratory, and we keep up to date with the equipment and techniques available at laboratories throughout New Zealand. We are available to work as part of your team to solve any chemistry related problem.

Training
Chemsafety provides training services to complement our consultancy services. All training courses are specifically tailored to the client’s specific requirements, and is provided by fully qualified chemical consultants (rather than by training personnel). Information on training packages offered are presented on our training web page.
